For an unarmored rider. Iron, 4 ½” length with arched arms joining in a delicate recurved terminal over short shank with six point rowel. One buckle intact and remnants of the other. The rowel in exceptional preservation. Rowel and buckles frozen, could be freed with penetrating oil. A high quality spur likely worn by a noble rider for non-combat use. See Der Sporn, Pl.VIII #1.
